Louise the cat groomer FAQs

How much does it cost to groom my cat?
The cost of the groom will be determined after an assessment of your cat’s coat and skin condition and the services provided.

How long will it take to groom my cat?
Allow up to two hours for the grooming appointment.

Can I stay with my cat during the groom?
Due to the unpredictable nature of cats, your cat needs my full attention during the grooming appointment. I’ll send you a text message when your cat is ready to be picked up.

Will you bathe my cat?
Bathing removes grease, saliva, dirt, dandruff, and dead fur from the coat. Bathing can help prevent matting for 4 to 6 weeks depending on coat type and lifestyle.

Do you groom elderly and special needs cats?
Yes, as long as there are no significant health concerns and your Vet has not advised against grooming.

Can you groom my cat if it has fleas?
To protect other clients, I cannot groom a cat with fleas. Please do not book an appointment if you know that your cat has fleas. If fleas are found on your cat during a groom, additional charges will apply to cover the cost of treating my equipment and the environment.

Can you groom my aggressive cat?
Grumpy cats are welcome. For the safety of the groomer and the cat, I may decline to groom a genuinely aggressive cat and recommend grooming under sedation.
